A2 has launched a program to employ some of the world’s best photographers—including members of the Magnum Photos cooperative—to document the people and places most affected by climate change and environmental devastation. Inspired by the U.S. Farm Security Administration’s groundbreaking photo campaign (1935–43), which exposed the poverty and displacement caused by the Great Depression and Dust Bowl, we aim to share these powerful images widely—and, in the words of FSA administrator Roy Stryker, “make a dent in the world.”
